I don't know if this relates but, I once heard this line from a movie: "Why is it that the words that we write for ourselves are always so much better than the words we write for others?"
I've taken this quite literally and always write for the sake of my passion, even if I don't understand the topic.
I would love you to include more poetry in your work. We're never exposed to poetry in our daily lives. I keep losing poems I like and never find them again. Please share more with us!
I loved Wagoner's poem that you posted, and in reading it I could not help but be reminded of a video of monk (name escapes me) explaining how to properly meditate. The monk explained that people think mediation involves concentration, when in reality meditation is simply "to be."
